FAQ

  • What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is a non-psychoactive ingredient found in cannabis, this means it will not cause you to feel the side effect of getting “high”.

CBD is healing without the high.

  • What is CBD used for?

We personally use CBD for reducing inflammation and anxiety. CBD provides relief to aching joints, especially during the gardening season. Many have expressed better sleep and have shared they are finding it easier to fall asleep when incorporating CBD into their nightly routine. CBD is also known to help improve overall gut health and ease symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

  • What are some ways to use CBD?

Ingestion: Good daily way to increase CBD levels.

Topical: Great for targeted relief, especially on sore muscles and joints.

Inhalation: A very fast and effective way to elevate cannabinoid levels (smoking, vaporizing).

CBD is a compound found in the plant, cannabis.

Cannabis oils are extracted from the cannabis plants and practices are found in every country in the world.

The CBD found in BorderTownBud’s products is grown, harvested, and extracted by us in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

  • How much do I use?

We are not doctors, we are advocates to sharing and knowing science-backed information. We share the below recommendations from research and personal experience. We encourage you to use your own discernment.

We recommend starting with 5-10mg daily. It is always good to start low to find a comfortable level without consuming more than your body can process. You can decide to increase your dose for your desired results.

Our bodies will pass (poop) out any extra/unprocessed cannabinoids.

There are no known cases of overdose or fatality due to CBD.

  • Is CBD addictive?

No, studies have not shown any dependence on CBD or any signs of withdrawal.

  • What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is one of the leading systems in our body. The ECS is made up of cannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes. The ECS accepts cannabinoids that bind to receptors found throughout the body to signal the ECS to take action. This system then helps increase the efficiency and communication of other bodily functions.
